My Speed Racer DVD got here Wednesday. Even though I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, I am overjoyed by my purchase. The packaging is so sweet. It's got a cover that slides over the DVD case. It looks like a tire tread and is even made of rubber. Very cool touch. I can't wait to watch it. It looks like I'll have some time Saturday to squeeze in a few episodes. Randy is going to a ZZ Top/Ted Nugent concert Saturday night. While he's there, Stephanie and I are going to see "Anger Management" then we can head to the house and watch some Speed Racer. Woo Hoo! Hello weekend!!!

Wednesday was a bitchin' mail day. I got my DVD earlier than projected by Amazon.com and I got a long awaited package from my Grandfather in Oologah. He sent me a video of himself playing a couple of songs on his fiddle. He taught me one of them while I was in Texas but I need the video to get down a couple of parts I know I am messing up. The other song, I will pick up from watching the video. It'll be fun. I do a lot beter learning new stuff by listening. I can read music, but I learn so much faster and easier by ear.

Nothing too exciting is going on really. I am looking forward to the weekend. I'm just going to chill, watch some DVD's and play some video games. I am kind of hooked on Simpson's Skateboarding right now. I didn't like it at first because I was having trouble picking up the controls, but now I'm starting to get it and make some progress. I unlocked a new level last night so now I'm obsessed with doing more. Oh how I love my Playstation 2. I really wish I could take a day off work and just play games all day.

For lunch today, I am going with Randy to watch his niece play in the Big XII softball tournament. She is the center fielder for the Missouri Tigers. I hope they kick Nebraska's ass. Randy and I went to Stillwater aerlier this season to watch Missouri and it was a blast. I really got into the game and cheering for Randy's niece. Too bad they lost that day. Now I hope they can get some wins in the tourney where it really matters. If they beat Nebraska today, they'd play OSU tonight.

Guess that's it. I might sneak back this afternoon with a softball report. Have a spectacular day.

Softball Report - Just got back from the ballpark. Missouri was losing 3-0 at the start of the 7th. I had to miss the last inning so I could get back to work, but I think it's safe to say Missouri lost. Randy's niece grounded out and struck out in her 2 at bats. Damn! At least I got to spend a couple of hours with Randy.
