Oh, what a glorious day!!! Why??? Well, there are 2 reasons. First, I am now the proud owner of a Captain Cane (TU mascot) bobble-head doll. And it was free!!! Woo hoo! You see, I found out that TU was sending these bobble-heads to people who didn't renew their football season tickets. Well, I renewed my tickets so I was apparently S.O.L. But then Dad sent an email to the marketing department and asked for one. It worked, so I sent an email last Friday and got one in the mail yesterday. Here's a picture that I ripped off from someone's ebay listing. Isn't it cute? Of course, mine no longer has the bubble wrap around it's neck, but you get the idea. I am such a happy camper right now. Thanks TU!!!
The second reason for my joy today is that I found a University of Tulsa Fight Song ringtone for my Nokia cell phone. I downloaded it this morning and it is hella-cool. It cost me 2 bucks, but has provided me with an unmeasurable amount of happiness. Yes, it's the little things in life that get me excited. I've been hoping to get a TU ringtone ever since I got a phone that lets you add ringtones. But TU is such a small school, I figured my chances of finding it were slim. Then while reading the TU message board, I found out about a place that has it. Words cannot describe my joy. Of course, I went to the site immediately to get my ringtone. This place where I got the ringtone has a huge selection of songs for cingular and AT&T customers with Nokia phones. Check it out at yourmobile.com if you don't mind spending 2 bucks on a ringtone. Ordinarily, I won't pay for them since there is a good selection of free ones on the net, but TU is worth it.
Well, I don't have much else to talk about really. Obviously, I still have TU on the brain. I skipped the Redhawks game last night because I was just sick of never being at home. It was great. I did a little cleaning, watched the Rangers on TV and listened to some tunes. Plus I was able to go to bed early and get some much needed sleep. It kicked ass.
